And if you’re NOT singing the Outkast song, then I’m not sure how we’re friends… 😉
Since I was off work today and the pup was gone for a bath/nail trim, I decided to do some cleaning. I didn’t do the standard things like vacuuming or dusting though. No, I decided instead to do things like wash the shower curtains, clean the top of the refrigerator, and scrub the inside of the kitchen trash can. While I was doing those tasks, I started wondering how people just knew to do things like that. Honestly, I’m not the world’s best housekeeper. It’s not horrible in here, but it’s not company ready at all times. I have trouble just keeping up with the basic everyday cleaning that needs to be done (especially the “bonus” stuff you get to do when you have a dog…dog hair gets everywhere!). So, my question for you readers is how do you do it? How do you remember to clean the fifteen million little things around the house? Of course, I remember to do some things when I look up and see cobwebs on the ceiling fans or look down and see a layer of dust on the baseboards, but overall, I just don’t always think about those things. I have looked at Flylady before, and I don’t dislike her, but there’s something about her system that I can’t quite get behind, but otherwise, I’m a blank slate just waiting to get so fresh and so clean clean (I couldn’t help it…).
(Okay, I had to include it. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard it, and I’ve never watched the video, so it may be NSFW!)
