Optimistic October Day 4: Relax

Optimistic October: A 31 Days of Writing Challenge at

Sometimes you’re frazzled. Sometimes you feel like there’s too much going on in your life. Sometimes you can’t possibly fit one more thing into your overloaded schedule.

Sometimes you just have to relax.

When you’re constantly on the move, hurried, harried, and overall worn down, little stresses turn into bigger stresses and even can become catastrophes. Everything feels like a big deal, and you wonder what the point of rushing through everything is and why you keep doing it.

Take time to pause.

When your mind is clearer, suddenly things don’t seem so bad. When you don’t feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, you can take time to appreciate the little things. When you know that you will have downtime, it’s easy to stay optimistic in the midst of chaos.

If you’re constantly rushed and on the verge of breaking down, evaluate your commitments, trim what’s not essential, and take time to relax. Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you.
