Welcome back!!!!!!! I’ve missed you!!! Time for leggings and all of the pumpkin-flavored stuff I can stomach!
Dear pumpkin-flavored stuff,
Welcome back to you too…even though you’ve been around since the end of August, and I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte back at the beginning of September. Now that the weather is cooling down, it’s time to kick up my enjoyment into overdrive.
Dear candy corn mix from Target,
I expected you to taste better. Fool me once, shame on me, and all of that good stuff.
Maybe we should eat some vegetables in between all of the pumpkin things and candy corn mixes…
Dear new phone provider,
Thank you for unlimited data. Being able to stream “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Baby Shark” while we drive makes at least one member of our family extremely happy…
I’ll hang up my laundry this weekend. Maybe. Sorry for the mess…but not sorry enough to hang up my laundry in a timely manner…
Maybe we should hang up your laundry too. And see what clothes fit you. Sorry about the too-small jacket yesterday!
Stay out of the laundry piles!! I know you’re just helping me pare down my wardrobe by tearing up clothes, but dude, it’s annoying!
Thanks for stopping by! If you’ve been writing little letters, leave the link below!
It’s time for one of my favorite linkups! In case you’re new around here, The Daily Dime is a post that includes ten pictures of your day. It’s a fun way to share a day in your life! Each time I’ve participated in this one, I’ve posted a weekday, so I decided to switch things up a little bit and feature a recent Saturday.
One//Around 8:30 AMCharlotte’s cube toy had been in dead battery time-out for a while, so she was really excited to get it back once her parents finally bought the right sized batteries. Also, please note that she likes to sit in her rocking chair, drink out of her sippy cup, eat a big pretzel, and watch an episode (or twenty) of The Wiggles. It’s a tough life, but someone has to do it!
Two//Around 8:30 AMThis is what Koopa thinks of The Wiggles!
Three//Around 8:45 AMA little light reading!
Four//Around 8:45 AMShe took my coffee cup and started trying to drink it. Luckily there wasn’t any left in there! Little thief!
Five//Around 10:15 AMSorry for the upside down picture, but I had to share that my socks said Big Shrimpin’. I’m a sucker for puns!
Six//Around 3:00 PMWe went to a fall festival with my parents and brother and took a ton of pictures. This was one of my favorites!
Seven//Around 3:00 PMAnd of course, Charlotte and I had to take a few silly pictures with my mom! She didn’t want to smile until my mom and I started squealing, then she couldn’t stop squealing and laughing!
Eight//Around 3:15 PMI managed to wear these teeth for about twelve seconds before I started gagging. I think that’s a record for me.
Nine//Around 4:45 PMI wanted to try the maple pecan iced coffee, and it was meh. I’m sorry I cheated on my beloved pumpkin spice…
Ten//Around 5:00 PMSpending a little more time outside before bath time and bed time. We enjoy our outside time on my classic NKOTB blanket!
Want to join in? Add your link below! The linkup will be open for two weeks, and when you join, you’ll get an email reminder about a week before November’s Daily Dime post (which will be on Wednesday, November 15). Be sure to visit the other hosts also!
Ack! I haven’t posted a Daily Dime since June! I took pictures last month and started a post, but it just didn’t quite come together.
Before I dive in, I have a couple of other things to mention. First, The Guys Behind The Blog linkup is next Thursday! We haven’t had a lot of participation for the last couple of months, so if you’re a blogger and want to participate, check out my link above for the questions.
Second, I posted this on my Instagram account earlier tonight, but I had to share with everyone here. The picture below is what happens when you don’t poke enough holes in your spaghetti squash when you’re heating it in the microwave. I even made a joke to Will about how I wasn’t sure if I had poked enough holes in it but I would find out if it exploded. Sigh. At least the microwave is clean now…
Now, on to the Daily Dime! These pictures were from last Monday, which was a regular workday with nothing special going on.
One//Around 7 AM
Mom, Charlotte, and I went to Goodwill and Walmart the day before these pictures. I have a really bad habit of leaving shopping bags on the floor until I need/want something out of them, so Monday morning, Koopa decided to get things out of the bag on his own. He ended up finding the dog toys I had bought for him. Oops!
Two//Around 8 AM
Coffee station! It’s a work in progress since we haven’t unpacked all of our coffee mugs yet, but I like how it looks so far. Eventually I will do before and after pictures of our house…eventually…
Three//Around 8 AM
Had to get a mama/Charlotte selfie!
Four//Around 9:30 AM
Charlotte is relaxing in her chair at Grammy and Pop’s house, drinking her shake, and watching The Wiggles (Wiggles are life right now!). She looks like she doesn’t feel well here. 🙁
Five//Around 10 AM
I got my planner out of my bag, and this book was in my purse. I took a couple of pictures with the intention of using one for the blog post that I was working on about it, but I didn’t love how any of them turned out.
Six//Around 1 PM
Lunch with Will! We had a free Pick Two from Panera. I don’t want to think about how much we’ve spent there lately to earn a free Pick Two…
Seven//Around 7 PM
Fall towel. Easing into my fall decorating since a lot of my fall things are still packed.
Eight//Around 8 PM
Charlotte hasn’t been feeling well for a couple of weeks, so she was super cuddly last week. But, cuddling doesn’t stop her from stretching across my legs and playing with her toy!
Nine//Around 9:30 PM
I went to the basement/garage to look for something, and Koopa followed me. This picture is a little blurry, but he looked so cute in it, I had to share!
Ten// Around 10:30 PM
Doing some blogging with a little assistance from a Raspberry Ale. It was pretty good, but not as good as the drinks my husband picked out.
I’m nosy. I love reading “day in the life” posts or seeing those “what’s in my bag” features in magazines. When I saw a linkup called The Daily Dime where you take 10 pictures throughout your day and share them on your blog, I knew I was in!
These pictures are from last Wednesday. It was a little bit of an unusual day because Will and I were invited to join a couple of our friends and their family at an Escape Room to celebrate the husband’s birthday. Charlotte had a mid-week sleepover, so the last few pictures aren’t a typical weekday for us, but I still wanted to share!
One//Around 7 AMLook at Charlotte’s ridiculous bedhead!! Someone in my baby group on Facebook said they felt like her hair has grown about 5 inches in the last month. I agree!
Two//Around 10 AM
We decided to initiate monthly staff meetings with our boss. Our situation is a little weird because we report directly to our university’s Provost instead of having a library director as a liaison. We thought that monthly meetings would help keep him updated on what we’re doing. We even made agendas and takeaway sheets for him. Librarians mean business!
Three//Around 11:30 AM
Okay, I’m cheating a little here because my mom sent me this picture as opposed to me taking it, but I couldn’t resist including it because LOOK AT THE SWEETNESS!!!
Four//Around 1:30 PMA couple of departments at work started something called Bystander Intervention Training. They had an information session today and handed these out. I think it’s going to be very useful for the students, and I’m glad I’m part of it.
Five//Around 5:15 PM
I met Will after work so we could drive to the Escape Room, which is about 45 minutes from our house. Or 37 hours away during rush hour traffic, give or take a few minutes…
Six//Around 5:30 PM
Cheating again because this is another one my mom sent me. Charlotte is experiencing the wonder that is Blue Coast Burrito’s fruit tea. Yum! Plus, she decided that she doesn’t need no stinking sippy cup. She’s a big girl!
Seven//Around 8 PM
We escaped! It was so much fun!! Let’s note my awkward face in this picture and how close I’m standing to the birthday boy, instead of my husband. I have no idea why I posed like this! Sorry for being so awkward N and J!
Eight//Around 9:45 PM
Koopa is the most jealous dog in the world! He always squeezes between us on the couch. Yes, we see you, buddy.
Nine//Around 10:15 PM
I wanted to show how photogenic I am at the end of the day hahahaha. You can also see at least one stain on my shirt. I should always wear dark colors.
Ten//Around 11 PMFinally bedtime! I’ve gotten hooked on puzzles on my iPad because I’m a 95 year old. I usually will work on one before I go to sleep until I can’t keep my eyes open anymore. Party. Animal.
I hope you guys enjoyed a peek into my day! If you want to join in next month, visit one of the blogs I’m linking to below for more details!
